Meet the Team - Isobel Hills

We’re excited to introduce one of our newest team members, Isobel Hills, who recently joined Connect2Hackney as a Talent Partner. We sat down with Isobel to find out more about her background, her new role, and what she’s most looking forward to as part of the team.

1. Tell us about your working background.
I’ve worked in recruitment for around four years, mainly focusing on healthcare desks – including Nursing, AHP and Doctors – all within the NHS sector. I’ve managed the full recruitment cycle, from business development and client liaison to candidate placement and aftercare.

2. What is your role at Connect2Hackney?
I’m a Talent Partner, primarily covering Climate, Environment, Waste Management and all manual labour trades.

3. What do you like about working in the recruitment industry?
What I enjoy most is the opportunity to connect people with roles where they can truly thrive. It’s also such a social industry – I get to meet people I might never cross paths with in everyday life, which is amazing.

4. What are you most looking forward to in your new role?
I’m really looking forward to learning a brand-new desk, getting to grips with the local needs, and building lasting relationships.

5. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
In my spare time, I love trying out new restaurants and bars, and I really enjoy travelling.

6. Any top tips for jobseekers?
My number one tip never changes: always go into an interview with a smile on your face – and do your research!
