Meet the Team - Jordan Peat

We’re excited to introduce Jordan Peat, one of our brilliant new Talent Partners here at Connect2Hackney. With a background in sales and recruitment, Jordan now specialises in Qualified Social Work, bringing passion, purpose and people-first recruitment to the heart of the borough. Let’s get to know her a little better.

1. Tell us about your working background.
I’ve been in sales and recruitment for nearly eight years. I made the switch to recruitment around four years ago – and I haven’t looked back since!

2. What is your role at Connect2Hackney?
I’m a Talent Partner looking after the Qualified Social Work desk.

3. What do you like about working in the recruitment industry?
I love that recruitment is all about positively impacting people’s lives – whether that’s helping a candidate land the career move they’ve been hoping for, or supporting hiring managers by finding the right talent for their teams.
When it comes to QSW, I especially value knowing that my work contributes to supporting children, families and vulnerable adults in the local community. It really means something.

4. What are you most looking forward to in your new role?
I’m really looking forward to connecting with candidates and clients in Hackney, and working closely with them to build strong, long-lasting relationships.

5. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I spend a lot of time in the gym – but balance is key, so you’ll also find me out for food and drinks at the weekend!

6. Any top tips for jobseekers?
Be yourself and be confident. Ask questions, and make sure you research both the role and the company beforehand.
