Are you a highly organised, friendly, and detail-oriented professional ready to be the welcoming face and essential backbone of a vital community hub?

The Children and Family Hub is seeking a dedicated Admin, Data and Receptionist to deliver a first-class office service. You will be the first point of contact for local families, children, and visitors, playing a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Centre and supporting services focused on working for every child.

Key Responsibilities

  • Front-Line Service: Provide an outstanding reception service, welcoming visitors in a polite, friendly, and professional manner, managing front-line enquiries from staff, parents, and agencies, and handling post.
  • Data and Administration: Maintain the Centre's databases and recording systems, ensuring they are accurate, secure, and comply with the Data Protection Act. You will also assist the Office Manager in maintaining the admin email account and responding to queries.
  • Parent Support: Assist parents with registration and monitoring forms, provide information to help them in their roles, and signpost or make appointments to relevant services.
  • Reporting and Collaboration: Support managers by presenting information in report format and collaborating with service providers to ensure accurate and timely monitoring returns.

What You'll Need (Essential Requirements)

The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to our policy on Equality and Cohesion and Anti-Racist Practice Standards.

  • Experience: Experience in clerical/administrative work, using basic admin software (Word and Excel), and planning/managing tasks to meet specified deadlines.
  • Qualifications: NVQ level 2 or equivalent qualification or experience.
  • Skills: Good interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills with the ability to relate well to children and adults. The ability to collect, read, and work with data is also essential.
  • A Professional Approach: The ability to deal with people at all levels with politeness, sensitivity, and tact, and the understanding of the need to respect confidentiality.
