Rate: £22.15 PAYE / £29.85 Umbrella

About the Role:

Hackney Council is seeking a proactive and experienced Brokerage Officer to join their Adult Services Review & Commissioning Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality care services across the borough, supporting vulnerable adults including older people, those with learning disabilities, and individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Source and broker care placements and support packages in line with assessed needs.
• Work closely with care management, hospital discharge, and finance teams to ensure timely and cost-effective service delivery.
• Maintain accurate records on Mosaic systems.
• Negotiate with providers to ensure value for money and identify potential savings.
• Support market management initiatives and contribute to the development of new providers.
• Respond effectively to urgent placement needs and maintain business continuity.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a brokerage or commissioning role within adult social care.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Familiarity with Mosaic systems.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage competing priorities.
• Knowledge of the adult social care market and relevant legislation.
