Hackney Council is seeking a passionate and experienced Team Manager to lead our Fostering Recruitment and Assessment Team a crucial service focused on identifying, assessing, and approving foster and kinship carers.
You'll manage a skilled team of assessing social workers and a recruitment and retention manager, ensuring a smooth, high-quality journey for prospective carers from enquiry to approval.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the fostering assessment team
- Oversee recruitment campaigns and enquiry management
- Ensure timely completion of Form F and Form K assessments
- Maintain quality assurance and prepare panel reports
- Support service development and policy implementation
- Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies
About You:
- Qualified and registered social worker with fostering experience
- Strong knowledge of fostering regulations and safeguarding
- Confident leader with strategic and operational oversight skills
- Committed to achieving the best outcomes for children and carers
